担当司祭からのクリスマスと新年のご挨拶
十 主の平和
降誕節と新年のご挨拶を申し上げます。
いつも私と私の英国と日本の家族のことをお心にかけ、お祈りいただき心から感謝申し上げます。二つの国に住む私の家族ですが、同じカトリック教会の中で、同じごミサに与り、一人の神の御恵みの内に一つとされておりますことは、本当に幸いです。
コロナ禍中の2021年3月、私のただ一人の妹を、臨終の床で終油の秘跡をもって主に託させていただき、さきに父と母の待つ天に送りました。妹は、ひとえに主の恵みによって、重い障碍を負う身体で彼女に与えられた生涯を生き抜きました。妹は、言葉ではなく、存在そのもので私を十字架のキリストに導いてくれた、私にとって信仰の恩人でした。妹は、今、天に在って主キリストのみもとに、一切の重荷から解き放たれ自由にされた身体で主を賛美していることを疑いません。生前、妹のためにお祈りくださいましたお一人ひとりに、心から感謝申しあげます。
コロナ禍で、教会のミサが長い間非公開を余儀なくされる中で、ミサの尊さとその力、信者の皆さんとともにミサを捧げられる幸い、また、キリストが私たちにミサを残してくださったことの重さに、改めて気付かせていただきました。
救い主キリストのご降誕を待ちのぞみ、主のご降誕を得て始められる新しい年が、私たちにとって、再びともにミサを捧げ続けることができる年とされますように、心から祈ります。皆さまの上に、主なる神の御守りと御祝福が豊かにありますように。

Greetings at Christmas and the New Year from Fr Kato
十 The Peace of the Lord be with you all.
I am always grateful to you for your most generous prayers for me and my family. Although my family, some live in Japan and others in England, but Our Lord and Our Lady unite my family in their love and heavenly blessings so that we can share the same prayers and, above all, the same Mass within the worldwide Catholic Church every day.
In March, 2021, my dearest sister passed away. The late sister had been heavily burdened with her cross of disabilities. She, however, with her difficulties had led me to Jesus, particularly, Jesus Christ who bore the Cross for all of us, including my sister. I am most grateful to my Lord who made it possible for me to give the Last Rite to her at her death bed. I now believe that my sister, who has been given by our Lord a new self, enjoys praising God freely without any difficulties with our dad and mum who had waited her with Jesus in heaven.
During the long time with the Covid 19, when the public masses had sometimes been suspended, we have, however, learnt of the importance of the mass, particularly, the mass to be celebrated with the congregation at the church. We have now clearly realized the reasons why Jesus has left the mass for us because without mass none of us could survive in the truest sense.
We now like to start our new life, not with the Covid 19, but with Our Lord Jesus Christ, by celebrating the mass together without any disturbances as the mass is our real treasure and is our life. We would be grateful if you could continue praying for us as we pray for you regularly.
